How to enrol for, update Aadhaar at a Post Office Centre

According to the India Post tweet: “You can enroll or update your Aadhar card at your nearest post office. 13352 centres across the country are helping our countrymen with Aadhar services.”

There are various bank branches and post offices that serve as Aadhaar centres across the country, and finding one online is simple.

According to the India Post website, there are mainly two types of services are provided in Post Office Aadhaar Centres.

The electronic capture of demographic and biometric information from residents is part of the enrolment process. Aadhaar Enrollment is free of charge in Post Offices.

Aadhaar Updation

Demographic Updation such as Name, Email ID, Mobile Number, Address, Date of Birth etc.

(ii) Biometric Updations, facial image, 10 finger prints and Iris are updated through post offices. Aadhaar Updations are chargeable and a sum of Rs. 50/- (including 18% GST) is collected from the citizens for every Aadhaar Updation

How to Find Your Nearest Aadhaar-Enabled centre

By selecting the State option, users can find a nearby Aadhaar card enrolment center. Using the drop down box, the user must select the state in which he or she now resides.

Step 3: Select Village or city from the menu

Step 4: Enter Captcha code

Consider the following when visiting Aadhaar enrollment centre

Aadhaar enrollment requires original copies of supporting documents. Following enrollment, these original copies will be scanned and emailed to you.
. Enrolling in Aadhaar is completely free; no money is required at the enrolment centre.

You can apply for Aadhaar even if one or more of your fingers or irises are damaged. The Aadhaar software handles such exceptions.
